Dr. Lt Col Billal Hossain is currently serving at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka as a distinguished Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon. He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and earned his postgraduate qualifications (FCPS, MCPS) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He further advanced his expertise through a prestigious fellowship in Vitreo-Retina from India.

Over the years, Dr. Billal Hossain has worked at renowned institutions including the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, BIRDEM, and Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital. He has been recognized multiple times for his outstanding paper presentations and has published several research articles in national and international medical journals.
A regular participant in both national and international ophthalmology conferences, Dr. Billal Hossain has presented his research work on various advanced retinal topics.
